Playing as SF i away go for Hawks or Raptors.

Detroit is decent option. The #1 and #2 SFs for the Pistons (Tayshaun Prince and Caron Butler) are getting old, and each only has one more year remaining on his contract. The bench/prospect SFs have mid- to high-60s ratings, and are also on short-term contracts. The team has a very solid remaining four with Drummond and Monroe up front, and Jennings and Jackson handling the backcourt. The team's only caveat that I've found is coach Stan Van Gundy's "feed the bigmen" playstyle.
Keep in mind, which team to choose is going to depend a lot on the roster that's active when you create your player. Pre-trade deadline and injury-free rosters are a lot different than the most recent 2K roster.

Dayum! Thanks for the tips man, good information! Really appreciate it-- I'll look into the Pistons. I've also found the Hawks to be a pretty good team right now, much better than the Hornets imo. Do you know where can I find the real-time information on the rosters, or soon-to-be-updated rosters? This is my first 2k title, but I've already got a 90 ovr SG, and just made this SF. MyPark is cheese all around, but fun af. Anyway, thanks!!

If you just made this SF and didn't download/create a custom roster beforehand, then you're very likely using the newest 2K roster. Well... That's true if the prompt stating an update was required hasn't appeared on-screen since creating the player. When that pops up, it's frequently a roster update.
As for roster tracking, 2K15 is a lot different than previous iterations. I haven't found a reliable means to do so. Whereas rosters used to be manually downloaded, it's an automated system now. Adding insult to injury, it also just overwrites the previous one, leaving it gone forever...
It's basically an introduction to console gaming on the PC. Bleh!

Thanks so much man. I paid it forward with a complete noobie guide I just posted in the general discussions. Hopefully people find it useful. I ended up going with the Raptors and bought just a little VC and got my guy up to 72 ovr so far. Working on my first 10 day contract. Really like the raptors though. I remember watching Hansbrough at UNC Chapel Hill (I went to school there back in the day). Sometimes the graphics really do amaze me Thanks again man!
I think the best team to start as SF can be Magic or may be Wolves, or Pistons in few games you will be playing a lot of minutes, may be you will not win a lot or not compete for the title but your minutes will grow and grow and with more minutes more vcs earned. Raptors has terrence Ross and the johnson guy, you will play less minutes than in other team, but higher chances to win games. My advice is to look a team that has no bench sf player to have more minutes. At the end of the season you will have played more minutes and more teams will be interestedin a trade, then you can choose the one you really like.
Portland needs a good Sf so portlnad is a good team to go with. Keep in mind ull make a big 3 of you,Aldrige and lillard.Its great!
